John Skinner is a long-time fishing columnist and former Editor-in-Chief of Nor'east Saltwater Magazine. His articles appear in most any fishing magazine you'll get your hands on here, and every one of his books is a gem if you'd like to learn about fishing around Long Island - I have them all, and they're dog-eared on pages I frequently revisit. His YouTube channel produces videos chronicling his efforts near weekly, and hold a wealth of well-narrated information. His degrees in Biology and Computer Science only seem to compliment his friendly, soft and well-spoken demeanor and approach to teaching about the art of fishing from shore, kayak, or boat. Kip and I met up with John on the eastern end of the Island for a fun 90 minutes in the rocks hunting for striped bass, talking tackle, and enjoying a mild breeze on a near-perfect evening. I think there are almost 200 images to the proof set of "keepers," but these stood out as some favs! Definitely stop by John's YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/c/johnskinnerfishing
