We spent a morning out in Manhattan at Nielsen’s offices, and grand offices they were. Our subject below is Itzhak, and the immediate areas outside his desk were a treasure trove for compositions – something you can’t always say you find in the tight real estate in NYC. I think the most impressive part of the conference room we chose were the placards on the credenzas that reminded the room’s users to leave it as you found it. That meant that I didn’t have to striaghten chairs, remove or rearrange distracting elements, etc. I just had to get some strobes set up, and find my shots. I had about 15 minutes to evaluate angles the room had to offer, then 5 minutes with Itzhak to make the images for the story the magazine was running on him. This time? No sweat!
