Spring is in the air, and every year that means we’re off to the Hyatt Grand Hotel, working for Michael Bloomberg and his awesome event crew as we cover their New Energy Finance summit. It’s a huge job for the Bloomberg crew, and I liken it to their running 10 weddings at once as they ensure that their guests all receive the best service and organization possible, while we dutifully record the days’ events with the cameras. It’s an interesting forum, where the future of energy is explored as we move away from fossil fuels. Makes for some very interesting listening, and meeting some great folks. I have some great stories about Diplomatic Security procedures, ask me sometime.
After Day One, we decided that our legs hurt. Hm. So, on Day Two, we clocked our activity on the iPhone: 14,855 steps, 6.79miles, and 14+ flights of steps. And that was just Tuesday.
Great to see Mr. Bloomberg again, who’s always gracious, and to meet John Kerry. Kerry is tall. Taller than me. That’s tall.
A nod to Josh and his event team, and the gals in Social Media – great job, gang!
